Performance Companion provides general training, activation, and recovery guidance — it is educational, does not diagnose any condition, and does not replace individualized medical or physical therapy care. Certain symptoms are automatically screened and will direct you toward appropriate professional evaluation instead of exercise guidance.

Common Questions

Does this replace my coach or training program?

No. Performance Companion is built to work alongside your existing coach and program — it never writes or replaces your programming. It helps you warm up, modify a lift when something hurts, and recover between sessions.

Is this the same as physical therapy?

No. This is general training, activation, and recovery guidance — not personalized physical therapy care, and not a substitute for an in-person evaluation. If your situation calls for hands-on clinical care, we'll tell you and offer a path to book one.

What happens if I report something serious?

Certain symptoms (numbness, sudden severe pain, loss of bladder/bowel control, and similar red flags) are screened automatically and will never generate exercise guidance — you'll be told to seek appropriate care instead.

Can I still book with Dr. Sam if I need more?

Yes — you can book a clinical evaluation at any time, and the app will proactively suggest it if your symptom trend calls for it.
